Answer» SOLUTION :According to their functions, the nerves are of three TYPES, viz. sensory nerves, motor nerves and mixed nerves. 1. Sensory nerves: Sensory nerves or afferent nerves. They conduct impulses from sense organs to CNS. 2. Motor nerves: Motor nerves or efferent nerves conduct nerve impulses from CNS to EFFECTORS or motor organs. 3. Mixed nerves : Mixed nerves have sensory as well as motor nerve FIBRES and cary nerve impulse both ways. |
