Answer» Correct Answer - Option 1 : 22 years

Given:

Ratio of their ages = 11 : 9

10 years less than 200% of Ansu’s age is 16 years more than Pedri’s age.

Calculations:

 Let Ansu’s age = 11x and Pedri’s age = 9x

10 years less than 200% of Ansu’s age = [(11x × 200/100) – 10] = 22x – 10

ATQ,

(22x – 10) = 9x + 16

⇒ 22x – 9x = 26

⇒ 13x = 26

⇒ x = 2

∴ Ansu’s present age = 11 × 2 = 22 years
