Answer» We measure the physical quantity of the water and most of the other liquid materials with the help of 'litre' unit. The water and other liquid materials are physically measured in terms of the volume. And, most of the volume measurements are taken with the help of the 'litre' and it's RELATED UNITS. (Eg. Millilitre, Decilitre etc.) That's why the measuring unit of water is MOSTLY REPRESENTED by litre unit.
