The\xa0connective tissue\xa0stroma (capsule and septa) and\xa0blood vessels\xa0form from the\xa0mesenchyme.\xa0The parotid salivary glands, the largest of the three, are located between the ear and ascending branch of the lower jaw. Each gland is enclosed in a tissue capsule and is composed of fat tissue and\xa0cells\xa0that secrete mainly serous fluids.
