1.

Show that B (–3, 3√3) ,C(–3, –3√3) are the points on this circle

Answer»

Distance of B from origin

\(\sqrt{(-3-0)^2+(3\sqrt{3}-0)^2}\)

\(\sqrt{(-3)^2+(-3\sqrt{3})^2}\) = \(\sqrt{9+27}\) = \(\sqrt{36}\) = 6

Distance of C from origin = \(\sqrt{(-3)^2+(-3\sqrt{3})^2}\) = \(\sqrt{9+27}\) = \(\sqrt{36}\) = 6

B(–3, 3√3) and C(–3, –3√3) are on the circle.
