1.

Slant height of a square pyramid is 10cm, height 6cm .Calculate total length of the edges.

Answer»

Slant height =10 cm, height = 6 cm

Base edge/2 = \(\sqrt{(10)^2-(6)^2}\)

\(\sqrt{100-36}\)

\(\sqrt{64}\)

= 8 cm

Base edge = 16 cm

lateral edge = \(\sqrt{100+64}=\sqrt{100+64}\)

\(\sqrt{164}\)

\(2\sqrt{41}\) cm

Length of total edges =  4 x 16 + 4 x \(2\sqrt{41}\)

\(64+8\sqrt{41}\) cm
