1.

Sodium is there in a solution with 10 kg of solvent \( \left(\right. \) Density \( \left.=5 Kg / m ^{3}\right) \) and concentration 4 molar. 1) 23 grams 2) 92 grams 3) 184 grams 4) 276 grams

Answer»

We have given,

concentration of sodium solution  = 4M

density of solvent = 5kg/dm3

\(\therefore\) Volume of 10 Kg solvent  = 10/5 m3 = 2m3

\(\because\) 1 dm3 = 1 L

\(\therefore\) 2dm3 = 2 L

as we know

molarity = \(\cfrac{\frac{weight\,of\,solute}{molecule\,wt\,of\,solute}}{Volume of solution(L)}\)

⇒ 4 = \(\cfrac{\frac{w}{23}}{2L}\)

⇒ w = 4 x 2 x 23

w = 184 gram.
