1.

Solve:0.4(3x –1) = 0.5x + 1

Answer»

We have,

0.4(3x –1) = 0.5x + 1

1.2x – 0.4 = 0.5x + 1

Transposing – 0.4 to RHS it becomes 0.4 and 0.5x to LHS it becomes -0.5x.

1.2x – 0.5x = 1 + 0.4

0.7x = 1.4

x = 1.4/0.7

x = 14/7

x = 2
