Solve : A problem with a new video card?

Answer»

Hello, I have a problem with a new graphic card i bought today, I will try to explain it clearly but if you need clarification just ask for it.
I have a GA-73PVM-S2H motherboard, and the operating system is windows 7 64bit, 550W PSU.
So i get the new video card HD7750 DDR3 2GB, I disconnect my computer from electricity, I take out my old 9400GT and replace it, then when I turn on my computer i see no signal, i connect my vga cable to the onboard instead and see the bios loading normally.
Things I tried:
*Taking the card out and putting it in again.
*Installing the drivers from the disc, then uninstalling them and installing from online. *The gpu DID work on my other computer.
*I set the motherboard to only activate onboard when there is no gpu, and I put PEG(PCIE) on first priority for video (both in bios).
*I tried my old video card and it worked just fine.
I FOUND that thread online: http://forum.giga-byte.co.uk/index.php/topic,6608.0.html
There is a LINK there for a bios update that might be able to fix it although i'm not 100% sure it's the same problem. I downloaded it but it's a zip file and inside it a ".f9f" file that I didn't know how to activate.
So thanks for anyone trying to help!
I have seen this a couple times myself with some motherboards that allow for dual video out via onboard integrated as well as the adapter. Have you connected via onboard video and then install drivers from CD that came with video card, and then chose the videocard to be the primary adapter vs onboard in display properties?

I ran into a similar issue with my ASUS motherboard and upgrade from GeForce 8400GS PCIe to ATI Radeon 5450HD PCIe video card. I was able to connect via onboard display and then install driver that came on CD and then chose the ATI Radeon 5450HD as the primary which enabled it from its black screen STATE and the video then went black on the onboard with no sync. Moved video cable over to the ATI Radeon 5450HD and was good to go.

It was strange that the Nvidia GeForce video card took primary display disabling onboard, but that the ATI Radeon didnt do this and had to be manually configured to be the primary video output. But it worked for me.Not to insult your INTELLIGENCE or anything, because some people forget or don't realize they need to do this:

But did you connect the power to the new video card?

Most 9400GTs didn't require external power. However, it seems some versions of the 7750 do.

To see if your PARTICULAR model does, look for the power port on the end of the card. (See attachment to this post.)
