Have you check the IP address of your computer?Quote

What for?to verify if the computer is really connected to the internet and getting a correct IP. That is forI've kinda gotten the same PROBLEM on my XP home edition.. Cable is plugged in, but the icon to the far right on the blue line thingy, says that there is "limited or no connection" available... I've done everything i know, checked IP adress too ...

This is LAN network by the way, when using cable What is the IP address of your computer? because when you say "limited or no connectivity" it means you don't have a connection.... the computer is unable to get an IP address from the modem or router.
