Blank white SCREEN KEEPS popping up everytime I log onto Internet explorer, I was searching Internet one day and it took me to a Blank white screen.there was nothing else SHOWING but blank white screen. Now everytime I log onto IE that same blank page keeps popping up. The only way I know how to get rid of it is to HIT the window screen key, then I can right click on the tab on lower task bar and right click to get to close window box.

I have Windows Vista Premium, Comcast is ISP, this is a brand new puter, so I really don,t know what version of IE I have!
Would like to know if I can permanently get rid of this annoying pop-up

It's not clear. You have blank, white screen pop-up in IE, and you can surf in another window?

What is "window screen key"?I have Windows Vista premium edition, and the window key I am refering to is at the bottom left side of keyboard between the ctrl key and the alt key. also have another 1 on the lower right hand side of keyboard between the alt
and the print keywhen I hit the window key it shows the task bar at bottom of screen, Then I can see the blank window tab in that tab, box is a picture of the internet icon- Blank Page-Windo...
It also shows any other pages I might have open.
But until I hit the window key I have nothing but a blank page.
It does not knock me off the internet nor does it close any other WEB pages I might have open. It just magically appears everytime I log onto the internet.it always opens up in another window.In IE, go Tools>Internet Options>Advanced tab, click on Reset button. Restart computer.
If it still happens, download, and install Firefox: http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/. See, if it works OK.
