Answer» My brother got home from school today and our MTU setting randomly changed. Xbox Live requires a minimum MTU setting of 1364. It has always passed the test until today. Before we waited about 30 minutes, and it started working again, but this time it isn't FIXING itself. We contacted Earthlink VIA online chat, and they said if we reset our modem using the recessed reset button, that the MTU setting would automatically CHANGE, but it didn't work. I'm fairly sure there isn't a setting to manually change it. We both looked for it before calling them, and Earthlink would have MENTIONED it if there was such a setting. We have a Netopia 3341-ELK modem.Is the modem connected directly to the XBox or are you using a router? If you're using a router, adjust the MTU there.
