Solve : bt line?

Answer»

can i get broadband without a bt line or is that required

thanks
DUNCAN cowanThe sarky answer would be, "Yes, I live in France/Canada/New Zealand/The Phillipines and I haven't got a BT (British Telecom) fixed telephone line but I can get broadband".

I happen to know that "bt" means British Telecom, but not everybody on here will! This is not a UK-only forum.

As it happens, I live in Bristol, and I have Virginmedia cable broadband. If you live in a FORMER Telewest or NTL area you can get their cable internet service which is pretty good value.

See if your area is covered here

Duncan CowanSome mobile phone companies e.g. Vodaphone are offering a wireless broadband service now, where you don't need a landline at all.

But it's pricey
