Answer» Hello, i'd like to buy a new Wired router and im not quite sure which one i should get. I used to have a wireless (trendnet 431 brp), it gave me lots of problems, random disconnections, it was very slow and hard to work with... thats why id like to buy a wired one, anyways I tried comparing two routers which seemed to be the most popular ONES on several sites, this is the page i got: http://www.epinions.com/compare.html?submitted_form=side_by_side&prod20309490=on&prod20197360=on&previous_page=%2FRouters--reviews--19209_wired%2Fpp_%7E1%2Fsort_%7Erating%2Fsort_dir_%7Edes%2Fsec_%7Eproduct_list mainly what i wanted to ask you is should i get one of these routers? if not can u recommend one for me? there are lots of specifications i dont understand on the comparing page and if its not too much of a burden, id like it if you EXPLAIN it to me... last thing id like to add is that i mainly need a high-speed router, one that will not effect my internet speed much because i mostly spend my time playing net-games (the speed is the most important thing for me...) plenty of thanks for your time and reply's =]]] IdanPI like this one:

I am a little biased SINCE I like netgear way better than linksys. Ask for more opinions tho man thanks for the quick reply, ive found some good reviews regarding this router, however i cant seem to find a place who has it for sale in Israel =[ Im using a cable modem and all i could find is ADSL routers =[I've had really good luck with linksys myself. The asdsl one you are talking about is a combo router and modem. what you need is a regular router. most home use routers are 10/100 UNLESS you want to spend some money on getting a gigbyte router which can be costly. When I game with my friends we just use a regular router and a ethernet switch to hook everyone up and it works great. But you were saying that you would like a high speed router but you don't really need one. I would check out best buy or circuit city or even radio shack or comparable store and they would have what you need. But get a router that SAYS broadband and that will work for cable and dsl.hey thanks for the usefull reply =] i kinda like this one: http://www.circuitcity.com/ssm/D-Link-Broadband-Gigabit-Gaming-Router-DGL4100/sem/rpsm/oid/127874/catOid/-12980/rpem/ccd/productDetail.do wanted to ask what you think of it? i personally dont mind spending an extra 20-30$ for a faster router so...
