Solve : Can't stay connected to Wifi!!!? |
|
Answer» Please help!!! I just got a NEW HP laptop the other day and right away I uninstalled Windows and installed Debian 6.0 Squeeze. I soon REALIZED that I wasn't getting any Wifi connectivity so I tried and tried to install some new drivers for the built-in card but it just ended up in failure each time I tried. Since this wasn't working for me I tried with my Linksys AE2500 USB wireless b/g/n adapter and installed and configured ndiswrapper to try with Windows drivers. I actually got it to work but now the only problem for some REASON is that I am getting disconnected from the Wifi at my school regularly, about every 10 minutes or so at the most. I don't KNOW if this is a problem with using ndiswrapper because I have never heard of it before this, and I also haven't talked to any of the IT staff at my school to see if it is just the network. I greatly appreciate everybody's comments and help on this. Debian 6.0 Squeeze was introduced early this year. It is a BCD system and few hee use Debian and BCD systems. |
