Solve : Can't stay connected to Wifi!!!?

Answer»

Please help!!! I just got a NEW HP laptop the other day and right away I uninstalled Windows and installed Debian 6.0 Squeeze. I soon REALIZED that I wasn't getting any Wifi connectivity so I tried and tried to install some new drivers for the built-in card but it just ended up in failure each time I tried. Since this wasn't working for me I tried with my Linksys AE2500 USB wireless b/g/n adapter and installed and configured ndiswrapper to try with Windows drivers. I actually got it to work but now the only problem for some REASON is that I am getting disconnected from the Wifi at my school regularly, about every 10 minutes or so at the most. I don't KNOW if this is a problem with using ndiswrapper because I have never heard of it before this, and I also haven't talked to any of the IT staff at my school to see if it is just the network. I greatly appreciate everybody's comments and help on this. Debian 6.0 Squeeze was introduced early this year. It is a BCD system and few hee use Debian and BCD systems.
Did you keep a backup copy of the Windows install? The IT people may tell you they want you to use Windows and then they might help you. Unless your school has a policy of promoting use of BCD for academic reasons.

The are many place you can find help. Just Google:
Debian 6.0
and find lots of sites and forums that may serve you better.Thank you for your reply Geek-9pm. I didn't keep any backup copies of Windows Home Premium because I have a CD with Windows 7 Professional that I can install if I have to. I still am pretty new to Debian because on my last laptop I was running Ubuntu 10.10 and Windows 7 Professional 32-bit. I'll try asking the IT staff at my school because it seems like their network is the only network I am having problems with.
