I need help. I bought new WIFI router dlink DIR-300. After follow all guidelines, it fail at network connection to 192.168.0.1. for set up. Internet connection through router/ethernet can work. I even use another set of computer for comparing but still doesnot work
My system as follows:
Vista Enterprise VLM
Network adaptor : NVIDIA nForce Networking Controller
CPU: AMD Athlon X2 6000+
Mobo: abit NF-M2PV
RAM - PC800 2G
Chances are you have conflicting IP ADDRESSES. Most routers have a DEFAULT of 192.168.0.1. You SAID you have a wired router and a wireless router. As I mentioned, the default is probably your problem. Both are trying to have the same ip which isn't possible. Here are two things you can try. Disconnect your wired router and just connect your wireless router. Can you set it up fine? If so, then the problem is what I mentioned.

The second THING you can try is related to the first. If you found that taking the wired router out of the equation solved your problem then I would suggest you change the ip of the wired router to something like 192.168.0.50. Then connect your wireless router which would be 192.168.0.1 by default. This should solve your problem. Consult your wired router manual for chaning the ip.
