Answer»

Title says most of it, so yeah I built this desktop computer yesterday and EVER since I couldnt connect to the internet. Im getting very frustrated with it and pretty sad, because maybe I did something wrong?? Idk well heres some information if NEEDED.

Basicly I cant find the connection, I have a ethernet cable already connected to the computer.

My modem is a 2Wire 2701HG-B Gateway

If by any chance it is my computer parts which I highly doubt heres a list of it

-if any more information is needed please tell me. Im trying to solve this problem as fast as I can, so I can enjoy my pc.Have you installed the drivers for this ethernet adapter that came with the motherboard? It looks like your missing Ethernet and USB Controller drivers which should be located on the CD or DVD that came with the motherboard.

Then the CAT5 network cable connects between the single-ethernet port of motherboard to any of the 4 available RJ45 Cat5 ports on the back of the router. I used this link to see what your router looks like. http://www.ebay.com/itm/AT-T-2701HG-B-4-Port-10-100-Wireless-G-Router-Gateway-DSL-2Wire-Modem-Switch-/161040434268#ht_66wt_1170

When the Integrated NIC is working properly with PROPER driver it should display Network Adapter from list in Device Manager just like my pic attached of this Win7 system I am on now.
