Answer» Hi I have a wind 7 laptop that i am unable to connect to my Sky internet anymore. When i check the connection it says "connected with limited access". But of course my browser page is not loading up.
- Its not my internet provider or router itself at fault as my other desktop machine in the home is able to connect with no problems
- Ive heard it could be a SIMPLE ISSUE with the password NEEDING to be retyped, but ive tried re-typing it with no effect
- I have uptodate anti virus software running & defraged my hard drive also
What else can i do?? Once connected I'd perform an IPCONFIG/Release and IPCONFIG/Renew at the COMMAND prompt which you can get to from typing CMD at the start run.
If you still can not connect to the internet, please then perform an IPCONFIG/all and report back or copy paste the information back here with the IP information that is shown. You can right-click on the window frame of the dos shell and select select all, and then right-click again when its highlighted and select copy. Then be able to paste it here from clipboard.Hi sorry for the late reply. I was unable to save the copied data anywhere like a usb memory stick, as my computer was so slow. In the end i just fixed it to its original recovery position via the recovery disk, as i only used the laptop for surfing & had nothing to loose. The internet works fine now. ThanksNo problem with delay getting back to me. Glad your internet was fixed on this computer through factory system restore from system recovery disc(s).
