Answer» Hello
I have three Win 7 computers (two are wireless) in a workgroup (or homegroup) so that a PRINTER can be shared.
I would now like to add a wireless PC tower (XP Professional) to that workgroup. I have some notes on how to do it with XP CONNECTED via a LAN, but not wirelessly.
Any links to a tutorial would be appreciated.
Thanks
High1Me too. After weeks of research, I never got a real answer. It used to work. Now it don't. Sorry, I am not able to help you. Just want you to know the problem is common. Many users find it HARD to do networking with wireless using windows XP. There are some issues with XP that may never be fixed. The work-around is to use a wired Ethernet connection to the group.
Hope somebody has a easy solution. As for me, I am thinking about moving my router to a location where I can reach both computers with Ethernet cable If I come across a solution, I will post back.
Thanks for your reply.

Please see my post in the Windows forum: XP Admin password problem.
Hope it works out for you.
High1I have the same issue, but with only two WiFi connections (A PC or a Roku, and a laptop. The PC and Roku use the same MONITOR, so it's only one or the other). Windows XP is not involved- except on the laptop- The PC runs Windows 7. The connection issues appear even when the laptop is off.
My workaround was to GET a range extender with Ethernet inputs, then connect the two devices (Roku and the PC) physically to the extender. I then have the extender handle all wifi communications for both. That seems to help- and I even manage to connect wirelessly to the extender with the laptop. I would advise matching brands (I used Netgear for the router and extender) because there were a lot of odd issues otherwise...
