What exactly are you trying to accomplish with this though?i WOULD use a CROSSOVER cable though they look the same they are different JoshM is RIGHT they do have an RJ 45 CONNECTION but the funtionality of an ethernet cable and a crossover cable are different the way they transmit and recieve are not the sameYeah your right, forgot the name of it.Actually, the cable is referred to as either category 5, 5e, or 6. The connectors are RJ 45. The distance limitation is 100M so you will be fine. I doubt you will be able to find a 18M off the shelf crossover cable, but any computer SHOP should be able to make one for you.
