Solve : CPU Questions...?

Answer»

When I go to "control panel" in Vista and then "system & maintenance" and then "system",it shows the big blue Windows circle with the Windows "flag" in the circle and half way down the page "performance index" and at the bottem my product i.d. and if Windows has been activated.(I say this because I`m Dutch and my Windows is in Dutch and I might have missplelled something).
Now my question:After the word "processor" it says; Intell(R) Core(TM)2Duo CPU E7300 @ 2.66 GHz 4.45 GHz
What is the 4.45 GHz after the 2.66 GHz I have never seen the 4.45 GHz notification after my processor speed !!!
How do I reset all my factory settings for my processor ect.ect. And do I have to reset my settings because of the 4.45 GHz notification ?(I`m scared my processor has been overclocked to much and will GET too hot !)
I hope I have been clear with my explanation. Is there anybody who can help me?
Thanks;Eric... Have you overclocked? What is your core temperature?

Thanks for your quick reply.
Do you know a good, but simple, program to see what my temperatures are ? And I would love to know if there is a simple program to see if my video-card is running OK !
Someone (MIS-)used my computer and now I have all kinds of problems !
Can someone overclock my video-card ?
It`s driving me crazy,my computer is doing strange and I`m thinking to format everything and re-install Windows(Does that SOLVE all my troubles ?).
Again thanks and hope to "hear" from you soon:Eric. You can use System Information for Windows (SIW) to check your temperatures in real TIME. It will also tell you your current CPU clock speed and other information. GRAPHICS cards are more specific, which graphics card do you have?

Webpage: http://www.gtopala.com/ [Tools>Options to change language to Dutch] (multilanguage version only)
Download link: http://www.gtopala.com/download/siw-setup.exe

If you press either F2 or delete during the POST (as soon the computer is switched on) you will enter the BIOS, there should be a "Factory Reset" option either under the "Help" or "Tools" options (it may be under other options but all COMPUTERS have it somewhere). That will remove any CPU over clocking and wont effect Windows.
