Answer» I recently bought a d link router dir 655, set it up on my main pc and then went on to install two 547 cards into my childrens pc's. I followed the instructions to the letter on the install guide. My SONS shows the card working though it doesn't connect to the internet, my daughters just freezes. I contacted d link and they sent me back new install instructions, and not for the first TIME in my life was I surprised to see that they differ wildly from the ones supplied with the product. I won't rant on about that bit.... My problem is how do I get rid of all traces of the ethernet CONTROLLERS as I need to install the drivers first but the computer keeps recognizing the ethernet controller even though I have uninstalled it and TRIED system RESTORE , many thanks IanUninstall the NIC's / shut down the system / remove the NIC's / reboot / shut down again. Reinstall the NIC's / reinstall the software. BTW - do you install the software before or after the NIC? Alan <><
