Answer» Hey, I've been having trouble browsing the internet and connecting to MSN. So far it seems that search engines won't open. And windows live messenger says my default gateway is offline...I called my ISP a little while ago, as web browsing was entirely down too, they told me to uninstall my network adapter driver, and to REBOOT the computer. After doing so, some webpages were WORKING, but im still having trouble with MSN. Any suggestions? How is your computer connected to the internet? Do you use a router?
Also what OS are you running?
If UR Using dial-up-connection open your computer and take the PCI card out that has an RJ45 port on it. unless its on board (intergrated on the motherboard)
if so then you can disable it in Device Manager
right click My Computer Properties Hardware tab Device Manager expand Network Adapters right click the adapter click Disable
Than see
