I have a dell inspiron 1720. I also have a belkin wireless Router. Of a sudden my wireless doesnot work EVEN though I can hardwire and get on the Internet. The wireless router and the built-in wireless card are not communicating. I do not have a clue how to fix the problem. I called dell but they REFUSED to help because my warrantee had run out. A friend told me to turn on the the wirelss card by pressing fn and the f2 key simultaenously. I did but did not help.
Try to REINSTALL network card driver.You can follow an online self help in support.dell.com

Also consider changing channels in your belkin router.
-hardwire to your router and once online, type in 192.168.2.1 in your browser.
-look for CHANNEL and ssid.
-change the channel to 9
