Even though I have broadband, occasionally a WEB page will ask me to connect to the internet via a dial up service, and wont let me into the requested web page until I CLICK connect, even though I no LONGER use dial up.
Can anyone advise how I get rid of these dial up requests?Open Internet Options in your browser...if you are using IE.
Click the Connection tab. Look inside the box that's labeled "Dial-up and Virtual PRIVATE Network Settings" for your dial-up connection.
Click it once to highlight it and then click the Remove button.
Make sure NEVER dial a connection is ticked.
Click OK.
That should do it.
