I did not do a Google search on "Why Daylight Savings time is good".  I've always understood the reason to be to give people more daylight time at the end of a typical workday to enjoy outdoor activities during the warmer months.  But, I've often wondered whether the decision in 2005 to extend Daylight Savings time was the best thing to do.
