Answer» TWO weeks ago I had high speed internet installed. It consists of an ANTENNA on our roof that picks up the SIGNAL and a POE adapter pulled into the outlet. Within the first two weeks, the POE adapter has BLOWN out 4 times. The LAN network on my laptop disappeared and can't be reinstalled. I purchased a wireless router and was able to get a connection through that. Now today, POE adapter is not working again and I'm not able to get any power to my wireless router. The internet PROVIDER is claiming that it's not their equipment, but I find it strange that all this has happened since being installed........Any advise?Tell them to come out and fix it or pull it out so you can go with another vendor. What do you mean by the poe adapter has blown out? do you have many power surges or brownouts? it's possible the power being supplied to the poe adapter isn't of the best quality. you might want to consider buying a small ups to ensure good power.
