Answer» Hi everyone, My first TIME here. I own a large building with many tenants. I need to install a new wireless router next to an existing one which is about 150' from the cable modem in the basement. The routers are for two different tenants who each need their own NETWORK. Do I need to run a separate CAT5 to the modem or can I tap into one of the ports in the existing modem (I'm thinking not) or do I go into a switch and then a cable to each router or something completely different? I really don't want to run another cable.
ThanksI think your best bet WOULD be to LET your tenants manage their own networks. Tell them they can buy themselves an access POINT or bridge to be the gateway into their own network.
