Answer» I tried sharing a folder using sharing and SECURITY on 'Computer A' by right clicking the folder that I want to share and then CLICK sharing and security. When I reach a page where it is under a Sharing tab, I checked(or select) the "Share This Folder" option and set the permission for Everyone to "Full Control" and click apply and OK on both windows. When I go to 'Computer B' under "My Network Places" to access the folder that I have shared using 'Computer A', I couldn't gain access to it even though I have set full control. It displays: \\(name)\\(folder I want to share) is not accessible. You might not have permission to use this network resource. Contact the administrator of this server to find out if you have access permissions. The network name cannot be found.Sorry I forgot to include the next sentence. Can anyone tell me what is the problem? ok lets say I have two systems. Sys1 and Sys2.
Make a share on Sys2 named called data
On Sys1 click run and type the following:
\\Sys2\data
