As the title states, I were on chat trying to fix the problem. I got the driver and installed it, yet my ethernet-unti won't update, nor does it find the driver.

I was trying to fix my Ethernet-unit to get wireless NETWORK, working. I was sent a link to the appropriate driver, I installed it but the Ethernet-unit wouldn't update. And that is pretty much the story.That's not NEARLY enough information. Unlike chat, we don't GUESS at what you're talking about or how to fix it. We need all pertinent information before we can offer intelligent advice.

1) I don't know what an "Ethernet-unit" is. Do you mean your ethernet card? If not, please explain what you are talking about.
2) Did it ever work? If so, what happened between the last time it worked and the first time it didn't (new hw, sw, virus, error, etc)?
3) What is your setup (computers, router, network, etc)?
