Answer» My computers hard drive broke so i bought a new one. I had to start all my files from scratch. I installed windows XP Professional on my computer and need to get service pack to. But i need the internet to DOWNLOAD it. But my internet wont work. I had it working for a while. I downloaded service pack and installed it. But during the installation it crashed and i had to reinstall windows XP. When i got back on i had no internet on ANYTHING. My modem was all GREEN and good. It said it was online and everything was RUNNING good but i still had no internet. EVEN with a hardline. I fiddled with the software for it for a while and eventually i got it working. problem is, it works on everything except for my computer.Call your ISP to check your settings.
