Answer» I have internet using Paradyne (now Zhone) ADSL router 6211-I2-200 for PPPoA operation and it is working fine.I wanted to share the internet connection using a linksys BEFSR41 4 port router between two computers. So through the web INTERFACE of the linksys, I enabled dhcp but internet access isnt available.the computers are receving ip addresses but the dns servers are set as the default gateway (192.168.1.1). Any suggestions would be appreciated. Would I have to use static IPs or PPPoE instead?The problem is the two router SETUP. EITHER disable the DHCP server on the Linksys router. It should then work as a switch with the computers receiving IPs from the modem. Just make sure NAT and DHCP server is enabled on the modem ELSE it wont work. I use this setup myself. (Different modem and router though, but the principle is the same.) Or disable the routing functionality of the modem. I FOUND this post on another forum that explains it. It is at the bottom of the first post.
