i need to change my proxy server for some networking jobs and i don't know how to change it ...

  i will be thankful  if you helped meProxy servers aren't things I use, and I'm not sure what your requirements are.  However, web "BROWSERS" have settings to specify proxy server address to use for different protocols.

For Mozilla FIREFOX 2.0.0.20:
     a.  Select "Tools"; a pull down menu appears.
     b.  Select "Options..."; Options windows opens.
     c.  Select "Advanced" icon to DISPLAY its page.
     d.  Select "Network" tab to bring its page forward.
     e.  Select "Settings" button within "Connection" subsection;  "Connection Settings" windows appears.
     f.  Good luck with this window...  You might have to do some research...i will try it but

2.  Operating System(s).  What local operating system(s) and service pack LEVELS are involved?  Error messages might vary by operating system.

3.  Error Message.  It would also be helpful if you posted the "exact" error message in quotes.  Searching the internet on the exact error message or error message substring for the appropriate operating system may lead to a better understanding of the problem and POTENTIAL solutions.

4.  Proxy Server.  Is the "proxy server" under your local control (has local IP address)?  Or is it "remote" as in off-site at another location beyond your control?
