Answer» I'm working remotely on a company laptop. It's running Windows XP. I am editing documents and then will be PROVIDING an html-ized list of the documents to the company's web people (I know html, and that's not my problem).
At this point I have about 2,700 files. Obviously I'd rather not retype all of those filenames. I know that normally I'd be able to get a command prompt and use the dir command to get a list, and I think I'd use something like: "dir L:\CompanyFolder\MyFolder > filenames.txt" (where filenames.txt is the list it generates). I don't have a lot of experience with this, just figured it out from online GUIDES.
However, I can't figure out how to get the computer to recognize that I'm not looking for a directory of something in my C drive but am INSTEAD looking for a subfolder of the L drive which is a network drive. I don't know how to change directories to get to a network drive. Possibly COMPLICATING things, the company uses SONICWALL Global VPN for all outside access.
Thanks in advance for any help you can give me!
