You must be having software issues on your computer... My upload speed is only about 1/4 of yours, 512 Kilobits/sec, and I can upload to youtube with out much trouble.. ALL cable and DSL providers throttle the upload for a reason, they don't want you running a server on their bandwidth allocation.720p for Youtube seems like over kill. And 2Mb upload speed is better than most.
