Answer» I can no longer download anything. Downloads makes progress but then it says there is an error after a few seconds of downloading and it stops. Downloading anything, even Windows updates. Also, i'm assuming this is related, it will play a Youtube video for a few seconds, but then stop and never start again. I have Windows 8 Pro 64bit, and the internet is a HOTSPOT from a tablet that's connected to 3g. I can download and watch videos fine on my really old XP COMPUTER connected to the same internet, but not on this one. Tried multiple browsers, but im assuming thats not the issue since Windows or adobe updates wont download without the error either. So yeah, i'm figuring something is wrong with the network on this computer for some reason, which is a home BUILT computer. Please help, thanks.Hi and Happy New year!
Just a question... Aside from downloading issues, how's your browsing experience on your Windows 8? When browsing to social networking SITES, news sites, Google, etc, do you still encounter issues?
Please advise so other Computer Help experts can easily isolate your problem. Thank you.do you have these problems at home? Or is this a lab(shool/work) computer? Open PUBLIC networks are not verry stable places. You could be exsperiencing these issues simply from large network overhead. Plus the network admin may have some funky setting for the DMZ your on. have you run any tests like tracert/ipcongig. Also check to see if you have the latest flash or silverlight extensions in your browser especially if your getting high cpu ussage alerts from windows.
