Solve : Internet stops connecting?

Answer»

I will add one more problem to the long list of internet connection problems. This one I haven't seen before. When I connect to the internet I can only visit one or two sites and then the connection SEEMS to fail. According to my computer I am still connected. When I try to go to another site, I see the bottom left corner of the internet window goes back to done almost instantaneously. If I reboot the computer, modem and router it starts fine, but again I can only visit one or two sites. I have tried different sites it does not matter what sites I visit. I have connected other computers to the modem directly without a problem.

Thanks HI
ARE YOU VERRY NICYou have tried connecting directly to modem?
And other computers connect fine?
What OPERATING system is on the computer with the problem?
Is it protected with up to date anti-virus, anti-spyware, firewall?
Have you tried a different network cable?

yesDownload, install, and run LSP-FIX: http://www.cexx.org/lspfix.htm
Restart computer, and see, if it helped.
If not...
Download, install, and run WinSock XP Fix: http://www.snapfiles.com/get/winsockxpfix.html
Restart computer, and check again.Have you tried separating the modem and the linksys router? The Linksys routers have more electronic noise than other routers. This noise can interfere with the router. Also, make sure that it is not near other electronic devices such as cordless phones, microwaves, electrical boxes, ETC.
