Solve : Is it possible to use a laptop as a router??

Answer»

I am currently living in student accomodation, which provides no wireless internet connection. I have a laptop which i plug into a wall port, via an ethernet cable. I have a second laptop, which can not be connected to the internet via the wall port. Would it be possible to ''bridge'' a connection from laptop(1) to laptop(2) wirelessly? With Laptop(1) almost doubling as a ROUTER?

Thanks for READING. Jak.If both laptops can see eachother then you can use ICS.

Alan <>< I will do, thanks Alan! ALSO, this may be beyond the scope of what you are LOOKING to do but FreeBSD can function pretty easily. I've never done it wirelessly but this is more of just an FYI.

Linux does this pretty SIMPLY, as well.
