Answer» ok i have networked my two comps for internet sharing of a DSL modem, to send files in between each other, and to share this old printer of mine. the printer is CONNECTED to my computer through a parallel cable, i activated FILE and Printer Sharing on my computer's Networking Properties(The comp's OS is Win 2K) i have everything setup but thing is, is that do i have to kept the computer with the printer on it, on 24/7 so the other comp can print. Like comp 1(without printer) wants to print off when the other comp is off?can someone give me an answer please. Thanks in advance NickIn order to print to that printer, the host computer has to be on. There are devices that are simply print servers on the network, but I don't know if they are still available for a paralell printer.thanks hmar. i think i can still buy a printer server for a LPT printer from CIRCUIT City, idk but i'll check.
