Answer» i have desk top conected on internet tru LAN i have another lan card on the desk top now i want to conect laptop on my desk top tru the free lan card and to take internet from the desk top. i conected them i made the ip adress 192.168.1.1 on desk top and 192.168.1.2 on the lap top but i dont have internet on the laptop i alsow made the internet conecting SHARING on the lan properties how do i get internet on the laptop thanksFrom your laptop click the start menu and select run type cmd in the box and hit ENTER. In this window type ping 192.168.1.1 and hit enter does this say Request TIMED out four times? Please let me know.the problem is solved but thanks for trying i did it by my self i had to fill dns server adreses filds and to fill the getaway filds with the ip from desktop thanks again Ok.
