Hey guys, I have been looking everywhere for someone to help my and I figured that this might be the place.
I have been having problems with my STEAM and Origin where they get errors for different things. I have done my research and know exactly how to fix this but there seems to be a hitch.
The solution for EVERYONE seems to be to go to Internet Properties -> Connections -> LAN Settings then, in LAN Settings, clear every box and uncheck every box. I can and have done all of these things but as soon as I hit the "Ok" button to apply the changes, they revert to the way they were. All I need is for these boxes and fields to stay empty.
In my "LAN Settings", the box that ALWAYS re-checks itself is the "USE automatic configuration script". It every video and forum post that I have seen, this is the one that is checked but for the person demonstrating what to do, when they uncheck it, it stays unchecked.

I know that this would work if only it didn't constantly revert itself.

EDIT: I am running Windows 8 on a Lenovo laptop. I cannot see how any other part of my computer would be relavant but if you need it, I will get it.Are you the ADMINISTRATOR of this computer? I have seen problems like this occur before when someone is given a company laptop and they gring it home and want to alter something and they cant because they are just a user or power user and not an administrator of the local machine.
