Answer» Hi I'm WORKING on a Toshiba Laptop with Vista. It connects to local network only--not the internet. Both the wireless and ethernet adapters appear fine and all the network settings appear fine. It sees the wireless AP and connects, but I cannot ping the router. Ipconfig brings only the 169. ... default address so there's no DNS server. It seems strage that both the wireless and ethernet adapters would go down at the same time ... do they use the same bus? Any thoughts?
