I have an Acer Aspire 5735z recently upgraded to Windows 7 ultimate 32 bit. My son actually installed Windows for me. While installing he connected to the internet in his home via WIRELESS connection and got all the updates done etc. Now that I have it home it repeatedly reports that my wireless password is incorrect. Now, it so happens that I had a new router that was sent through, so I switched them over and reconnected the router to the internet. The laptop reports that this wireless password is incorrect as well. I can connect my smartphone to the router no problem.
My son activated the internet HOT spot on his PHONE and the laptop connected to it with no problem. It just seems to have a problem connecting to my internet. I cannot fathom what may be going wrong and hope that someone here can help me out. Many thanks for taking time to read this.
GabeI was POINTED in the direction of "Manage wireless settings". In there I deleted the profile for the mobile phone hotspot connection. Then went back out and tried again.
