Answer» I have a Dell 9100 Inspiron with Windows XP. For the past year or so, my wireless internet has not worked on my laptop only at home. It works EVERYWHERE else. When OTHERS try to connect to my home wireless connection it works only intermittantly for a few minutes and stops. It always shows as excellent signal but when you open the internet it does not connect. My router is a netgear WGR614 v 6. Any ideas, just try a different router? It works fine connected. thanks.

Ping request could not find host www.google.com. Please check the name and try again.Your router is setup to be your DNS server. Is this the way you want it to work? Most are set to point to the correct DNS server.
I think that is the default setting. How do I fix this? Is this the problem?any other suggestions?
