have just installed a belkin wireless G router - at first successfully - one desktop pc (sony vaio windows xp) and one laptop (sony vaio windows xp)
my ISP is virgin media cable in the UK
All was fine for a couple of days but now while my desktop stays connected to the internet i keep losing my wireless laptop CONNECTION to the router. I search for available wireless networks, find my belkin one, connect using my password, it tries but fails to connect.
Belkin support (very good usually) told me to change the channel in the configuration page, which i did, and i got connected for a short while then lost the connection again. It should be an automatic connection anyway on startup.
What is it? Is INTERFERENCE from somewhere - is it just a RUBBISH router?
All suggestions gratefully accepted - in nontecchy speak please!You should try to configure the wireless router, try setting up a password or something. Also make SURE it is secured. If it still don't work, maybe its something configured is not right. But I doubt its the wireless router that is causing the problem.
