Solve : lost contact?

Answer»

Hello
I have a laptop CONNECTED to the Internet via a wireless router
And the same router connected by cable with another desktop computer
Desktop computer connects to the Internet well. After a period - random - lost contact
( Connection limited or impossible )
If restart PC and router .network Icon say that the network cable is unplugged

At the same time. No PROBLEM for laptop ( wireless )Is it on-board ethernet or an expansion card? On-board tends to have problems after a while.expansion cardI'm waiting

try a firmware update from the manufacturer's web site.I tried - the result zeroMight be a fault in the cable. Have you tried REPLACING it? It could be the router. Have you tried switching ports on the router? If you have one available to you, you can also try a different router and see if that solves the problem.

Also, most routers have a light of some sort when a cable is plugged into it. If the light is on and not blinking, it's connected with no activity. If it's blinking, it's connected and it has activity. If it remains off, there is no connection.quaxo thank u

When the problem exists.the light is on and not blinkingYeah, a different computer with the same problem on the same cable would most likely indicate it is either the cable or the router. If the other computer works fine this way, there is most likely an ISSUE with the computer you're on. It will give us somewhere to start anyway.

Don't forget to just try changing the cable, that might solve your issue without a lot of other fuss. The problem is ended after updating the network cardGood to hear that you got it solved.
