Solve : m.yahoo.com?

Answer»

Anyone know how to block m.yahoo? I SUCCESSFULLY blocked it for a while by blocking all cookies from yahoo.com. But for the past week or so if I do this I can't access my e-mail. Blocking cookies from m.yahoo didn't work. I also went into security setting and listed m.yahoo.com as a blocked site. This did not work. If you go to address bar and remove the "m" it just comes right back. You can usually go to the bottom of the page and click "classic" but sometimes the page is configured differently and the classic option does not appear. From what I've read on other forums, this has been a problem for a while but yahoo MADE some change just recently to make it "impossible" to block. Any ideas? Using windows vista and firefox.Browse to m.yahoo.com in your browser. It should then redirect you to .m1.yahoo.com, i.e. for me it's ie.m1.yahoo.com. This is what you want to block.

m.yahoo.com is only a REDIRECTION site and no cookies are created on that domain. Thanks, but I don't see what you mean. The address in my browser is m.yahoo.com. It doesn't change to anything resembling what you said to look for. I checked my cache to try clearing it but it was already empty. I feel like Yahoo is hijacking my computer.Just a little note. When I typed m.yahoo.com I got this... http://m.yahoo.com/?_ym=1 That's very strange. You are right. When I type in m.yahoo I get the same thing you do. My problem is, if I type in yahoo.com I get this: http://m.www.yahoo.com. I don't want that, so I remove the "m" but it just reappears and I am STUCK with this alternate format that I don't like.

You mean you don't like the m.www.yahoo.com format, or the format of the actual page? In either case, I doubt there's anything you can do about it.
Go down to the bottom of the page, where all the FINE print is. On the bottom left-hand corner, there is a link that says: Return to Classic Yahoo.com. Click on that.
