I recently bought a HP PAVILION DV6. Everywhere I've used it it has connected to the internet with no problem, except, annoyingly, at my house. My girlfriend has a 10-yr-old Mac that connects without a problem here, but I had a friend here last night with his newish PC, and that wouldn't connect EITHER. I know I have the password correct, and all the troubleshooter keeps telling me is to turn off and back on the router, which I have already done on several occasions. I'm not sure if this is important, but in the network connections it says the security type for the network is WPA-PSK and that the radio type is 802.11g. Is there a simple (or EVEN complicated) answer that I'm missing? I don't know a WHOLE lot about COMPUTERS, and this is becoming very frustrating as it has been going on now for 2 months. Any suggestions or help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you! Post the results of an "ipconfig /all". See if that can narrow it down any.
