I'm using a Netgear WG111v2 wireless router, I've got windows XP, Dell Dimension 2400 series, 1 gig of RAM(though I don't SEE how half of this helps ). Oh, and I've got a dynamic ip.

I've tried just about everything I can think of. I've tried ipconfig /release and /renew, I've tried releasing and renewing in my Netgear console, I've turned my router and modem off for 11 hours, I think I've tried just about everything I COULD except for calling, which I'd rather not do.

Any suggestions or tips?Are you talking about changing your WAN IP? I.e. the IP websites, online games, etc, sees? Why do you need to change it?  Heh. Nah, not that, else I'd just use a proxy. I'd like to change it because like most everyone else that wants to change their IP, I've been banned from a game >_> Lol.
Though it wasn't exactly warranted in my opinion, but whatever.
Nice avvy by the way o.oWell actually you do want to change your WAN (also known as public or external) IP. This is the one that is banned.
Unfortunately (for you) we don't offer advice on how to circumvent bans, this is against forum policy.
If you really have been banned without GOOD reason, I suggest you take it up with an ADMIN on the game. If you make a polite request and explain why you think the ban wasn't fair I think you will find that most admins can be reasonable. (Assuming the ban was unfair of course  )

Nah, I've been pastafarian for about a year now. The problem with talking to the admin would be that he has no email on his site, nor any other information, and the only way of reaching him would be through the game, which I'm banned from. Ironic how they've got that set up, huh?

I think I'll just find out how long the lease on my ip is going to LAST and turn my router off right before the lease is over. Hopefully that'll work.

Just out of curiosity... what game is it?
Ragnarok online, and its on a private server. Which aren't really legal themselves, but no one seems to care really.

It really isn't that great of a game, but there's people I like to talk to on there, so whatever.
