Solve : Netgear router?

Answer»

Netgear router is receiving lots of traffic and attacks from unknown SOURCES and data centers. My family owns a residential internet, so I don't see why ANYONE would try to ATTACK the router.

Anyone know what's going on?I'd probably contact your ISP on this one. It could just be ambiguous attacks but they'd be able to give you a more clear ANSWER I'd assume then any community member. However, just in case I think your question would be better in the Networking section so I'll also move this question there.I have a Netgear router and get a couple of these a day as well. I tried contacting my ISP and they didn't even know what a DOS [denial of service] attack was. Morons.

Anyway, like Admin said, you could try contacting your ISP and see if they're a bit more intelligent than mine, maybe they'll be able to help you out. I've had nothing negative happen from it myself.
